The Huntington Land Records are kept in large volumes in the vault at the Town Clerk's Office . The records are indexed in the card file from June of 1952 to date by Grantor and Grantee. Volume 23 is the first volume indexed by cards. From Volume 22 back to Volume 19 there is no general index, but there are indexes in the beginning of each Land Record Volume. There is a general index for Volumes 1 - 18.

Attachments, Liens and Maps are also in the card index.

There is also a separate map index, listed by the property owner at the time the map was drawn, and by road name.

Attachments and Liens before July 1, 2002 are located in separate volumes and notebooks. Please ask for assistance if looking for a lien filed before 1980.

UCCs filed before July of 2000 are in a separate card file. Please ask for assistance to find an original UCC. UCCs filed after July of 2000 are in the Land Record Volumes and are indexed by cards in the general card index.
