Nestled in the foothills of the Green Mountains, the 255-acre Green Mountain Audubon Center offers outstanding opportunities for exploration and discovery of the natural world of Vermont. Five miles of trails wind their way through a variety of natural communities including, northern hardwood forest, hemlock swamp, and the Huntington River. Center offers school programs throughout the year and Pre-school and Day Camps during the summer months. Trails are free and open to the public. Dogs should be leashed and are not allowed on the trails behind the Hires House on Sherman Hollow Road.
