Petition and Consent of Candidate form for Independent Candidates for Justice of the Peace. DUE BY 5 PM ON THURSDAY, JUNE 17, 2010, in the Huntington Town Clerk's Office. Petition needs 14 signatures of registered Huntington voters.
This form is to be submitted to the Town Clerk's Office no later than 5 pm the day before the election in order to pick up an absent voter ballot. Ballot must be received at the polls on Election Day before the polls close at 7 pm. On Election Day, the Town Clerk will check with the Huntington Postmaster to be sure that no ballots arrived at the Post Office before it closes at 4:15 pm. Ballots received after the polls close will not be counted. per federal law.
