December 5, 2014 - We are happy to announce that the Richmond Land Trust, on behalf of the Friends of Gillett Pond, has entered into an agreement with the Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains to acquire Gillett Pond, adjacent land and the rights to the dam. The Land Trust and the Friends have until January 31 to raise $90,000 to cover the purchase price and associated acquisition costs. We have raised $50,000 to date but will be heavily dependent on donations from the surrounding communities over the next 6 weeks. Once the $90,000 goal has been met, we will be focused on a longer range goal of raising $250,000 to renovate the dam.
